Citânia, Citânia
A work with a performative character that incorporates, still, a strong component of composition. The result is hybrid, between performance, dance and music, and could still be thought of as a parade. The chosen place, the Citânia de Sanfins, served as a matter of installation and theme to explore creatively the bodies in their movements and circulations and in their dwelling. Occupy and vacate. Get out, get away, and get back. Throughout the show we can see an exploration of movements of flow and of territorialization that can qualify the movements of an imaginary city. We start from ruins, from something that happened once, to rebuild an eccentric, ancient and contemporary, displaced city. The idea of city and place in its relationship with the body defines one of the important axes of discussion and creative matter. The social and the fictional blend and open themselves to new, imaginable places.
